The Number Five: Bible Numerology Code

numerology bible number 5

The number 5 in Biblical numerology symbolizes the creation of God, as the person has five fingers, five toes and five senses. Number 5 symbolizes the God's grace. Father, Son, Spirit, Creation, Redemption are the 5 sacraments. The creation was cursed after the lapse of virtue and was transformed into a subject of vanity. Number 5 is connected to the impotence and weakness of the individual. It is the number symbolizing a great necessity of a human's redemption. It is the number of God's grace, because the only case when the person doesn't need God's Grace is when the one is weak.

Number 4 stands for the weakness and incapacity and number 5 being 4+1 manifests the strength, added to the weakness and insignificance, given to the human by God's Grace.

Numerology has a practice of assigning numbers to various words and it is called gematria. The word "Earth" has a gematria 296 that by reduction of the sum of numbers create 4 and the gematria of the word "Heaven" is 395 which is reduced to 5. Metaphorically, the Earth gematria 4 symbolizes the weakness and vanity of the man, and the Heaven's gematria 5 means God's grace. Speaking about the meaning of the grace here, we should know that grace means a favor, a mercy, and loving-kindness. This favor is done for the one who doesn't deserve it. In such case it is called grace. God appealed to the Abram and promised to endow him a great name. Why He did so? What purpose was behind that? There was no purpose. He did it without any logic understandable to a human being. That can be an example of God's grace.

Abram's name was changed to Abraham. It has a deeper meaning not because Abram was particularly chosen, but because God dowered him with his grace. The change was made by inclusion of the fifth letter of the alphabet "h" into Abram's name.

Another example of number 5 symbolizing God's grace was when David went to struggle with the Israel's enemy Goliath. David took five sleek stones, which were the sign of human weakness empowered by the divine strength (5 stones = 4 as weakness + fifth as divine power ). David took the one stone, associated with sacred power to vanquish an opponent.

The Fifth Book of the Bible amplifies the God's grace, and its transactions place an emphasis on the moment that the God had blessed and chosen people for the sake of His Name. In the Bible is also an allusion to the Stone Kingdom. The kingdom would become the fifth kingdom after all earth's dominions would unite and the almighty would enter on them, and the chosen one will rule with justice and glory.

The abovementioned multiple examples of the number 5 in Bible numerology show us the place of this number in scripture. With the help of gematria we understand that this number is very important as it is associated with the God's grace. Grace shouldn't be misused in the context of words "worth" or "advantage". Grace is given without any reasons, but has absolutely no preconceptions and biases.
